About me

For as long as I can remember, I have loved the water! My family lived in Cardiff by the Sea, CA for a few years when I was little, and I spent my toddler days running into the waves — the bigger, the better! I even learned to surf.

When we moved back to Austin at age six, I traded the ocean for the pool, starting club swimming with Longhorn Aquatics to keep up my “surf” arms. I’ve been hooked ever since — swimming competitively through high school and collegiately at Southwestern University before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin, where I recently graduated with a B.S. in Youth and Community Studies. Hook ’em! 🤘

Swimming has taught me time management, dedication, and perseverance, and given me so much confidence along the way. I’m in my 9th summer of teaching and I love getting to share that same passion with kids and show them that learning to swim is a skill – and a source of confidence.

Throughout college, I was also a Young Life leader. I love meeting kids exactly where they are, and that heart for connection shapes how I teach in the water too.

My goal is for swim lessons to be something kids want to do, not just have to do — a chance to think, problem-solve, and learn something new. There’s nothing more rewarding than teaching a kid to fall in love with the water.
